Jason and I so appreciate your interest and prayers for Anneke. Wanted to give you an update. The first diagnosis we were given from the neurologist was chronic headaches (migranes). The meds for the didn't touch the pain and the other issues she has weren't addressed with that.
The next diagnosis we were given was that Anneke tested positive for a bacteria called mycoplasma. The symptoms she has been experiencing affects .1% of the people who have this. She was put on antibiotic for that. Unfortunately, she is still experiencing the same problems.... constant head and stomach pain, blurry vision, weakness in mostly her legs, tingling in her feet, and fatigue.
We were referred to an infectious disease doctor and he believes the mycoplasma is gone, but she is experiencing residual and new issues from it. He believes she may now have urinary tract infection and an ulcer. But, still does not have any ideas about the other symptoms.
Ways you can pray... of course, for healing
.... that we will be guided to what doctors to see. The symptoms are all so confusing
and different that we need to wisdom to know who to turn to next.
.... that Anneke can keep up with school since she's missed a lot
.... for our faith in the Lord's ability and desire to heal her to stay strong and that He
would encourage our spirits
We are amazed at the positive attitude that Anneke continues to have through the pain and are thankful that she feels her faith is growing through this difficult time. Thanks for your love and care for her and us!
