Birthday Greetings

Thank you to my wonderful family for the birthday cards and notes sent to me for my 80th birthday.  It was a surprise and greatly appreciated.

My one foray into voice acting

Hey family- hope all is well!

Just a quick note from New Jersey. Things are going well out here and the family is adapting nicely to our new surroundings. We've had many visitors from the family already, and I'd like to reiterate an open invitation to anyone who would like to check out the east coast/NYC. Just give us a head's up and we can make it work.

Thought I'd share the video above. It's a new program at Eastern Christian School (where I work). We were looking for someone to do the voice-over work, and the lot fell to me. So (after several takes and an all out effort to make it sound not bad), that's my voice presenting this new program.

Anyway- hope all is well.

North Carolina visit

Other than the tragedy of the Packers game, the pre-Florida visit to North Carolina was great! Grandma and Grandpa were my second ever visitors in North Carolina. They even stayed in the dorm. :)

Death Notice

Dear Family,

Uncle Gene informed me of the death of Kenny's dad, Mr. Julian.  Kenny & Jenna's address is: 612 S. Garfield, Hinsdale, IL 60521.  A sympathy card would be nice.

We booked a venue this week and I wanted to give everyone the heads up...
our wedding will be on Saturday, May 16th! 

CHRISTMAS MENU AND INFORMATION - 2014

The plans are:  meet at Keith & Cheryl's home at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 27.  The afternoon activities will consist of:  Christmas Carols, Ukulele-led singing, Christmas Story, Family open mike, Gift giving, Women & Girls' box exchange, and ........... Supper.

Menu:  beef and ham sandwiches (provided)  Needed - salads, drinks, desserts, pickles, potato chips, snacks, etc.  Contact us with questions, suggestions, and contributions.

Thanksgiving in Kouts

My mom wanted me to let everyone know that we are planning on eating around NOON! Also, we have a special event planned at 3:30 in the gym at Kouts High School.  We have challenged another family in Kouts to a battle royal in the game of volleyball.  So bring your athletic clothes and shoes and the VanDrunen competitive spirit so we can show the Birky family what we are made of! Can't wait to see all of your wonderful faces!
