Preacher Jason

Jason preached his 1st sermon at Thorncreek church this morning, "Jesus arose, now what?" He did a great job sharing Matt.9:9-13, teaching us how to continue to live a ressurected life - Follow (continue to learn from Christ), Love the unlovable, and Mercy (minister to the physical & emotional needs of others)...CDs available??

Getting ready this morning, Nick reminded me of Dr. Jerome DeJong calling Jason "the little theologian" and that he would be a preacher. So, we are thankful for God's faithfulness!

Good work Jason. I look forward to continued blessing for your ministry. "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth." (2 Tim 2:5-6)

One question, Reverend...

when was the first time that you considered being a Pastor? I think that I've heard SOME of this story, but not the whole thing.

Also, congrats- your family even LOOKS pastoral up on the pulpit.

We were there. Several tears of joy were shed. Let's continue to pray for God's leading as Jason prepares for ministry.

I hope they weren't shed by Jason...

Jason - Rev. Henry Elgersma stopped me at Rest Haven South and asked what relation you were to us. He said many people at the home commented on how they appreciated you filling the pulpit at Thorncreek. He said he did not solicit their comments.
