We had our annual 8th grade visitation day early in February, and we gave each team a one-time use video camera, and a list of stuff to capture on camera (be forewarned, it's basically 8th graders going "appropriately crazy" on camera!).
We then started a contest to see which team will have the most views by the end of the month.
If you've got the time, I recommend checking out the Raiders or Athletics team videos.
This idea was really cheap, the tech-know how is getting to be very easy with YouTube, etc., and the kids are loving it- if any of you are in charge of an event that needs a mixer-type game, I'd highly recommend something like this.
