Hello family - here's a few of the pictures I took while we had a shower for Scott and Emily and Alex and Heidi. (That was a lot of "and" usage right there.) It was so fun to see everyone together supporting the happy couples...excited for both upcoming weddings!

Annual Yous Kids Golf Outing Award Ceremony

Our golf teams are as follows:

Tee times begin at 12:00 (noon) sharp at River Pointe Golf Course in Hobart - the same course as last year.  The forecast is for a warm day, so please bring water.  Ladies will be hitting from the orange tees and men from the yellow, unless you want to hit from a longer tee.  We will have five special contests:  closest to the pin (ladies and men), longest drive (ladies and men), and longest putt.  These holes will be determined Saturday morning.

We will gather at Kim & Mike's ASAP for supper, awards, shower celebrations, and Father's Day.

Wedding Airfare Deal

To those of you who were planning on flying out to the Gesch-Boutros wedding extravaganza, you may want to book your tickets before the end of June 14.  Southwest and AirTran are in the midst of a huge fare sale, and I've seen one way direct flights starting at $98 inclusive of taxes and fees.

If you plan to fly out or back on a weekday, Southwest flights into BWI-Baltimore (they don't fly into DCA-Reagan) could be a great option, because you can jump on a free shuttle to a MARC train, which takes you downtown to Union Station in about 35-40 minutes and only costs $6.  This is comparable to taking the metro from DCA to the downtown, which would cost a bit less and take a bit less time.  If you are flying into or out of BWI on a weekend, the MARC train isn't running and you have to take an amtrak train on the same tracks, which works just fine but costs around $20 per trip.

As always, it's best to also check Kayak and other fare search engines for good measure, but I have not found any other fares this good in a while.

I've been asked by a few people to post the girls' schedule for softball, so here it is.....(we have a few weeks left of the season)

Unless noted, the games are in St. John, at Heartland Park.  It's in the same area as the Ice Arena on White Oak Ave.  The girls' fields are right across the parking lot, to the right, of the ice arena.  Both girls have purple uniforms.

Golf Outing Supper

We felt this was the best communication source to give you a chance to help with the golf outing supper.  We will need:
drinks, chips, salads, condiments, fruit, vegtables, desserts.  Lee & Jean are bringing baked beans.  Dad and I will provide the hamburgers, brats, hotdogs, buns, and paper supplies.  Let me know what you will be bringing.  If you are bringing your food to Mike & Kim's home, they need to have it before 10:45 a.m., as they will be the first to tee-off.

Registry Update

Sorry for the delay, but we are finally live on a few registries. You can find items on amazon.com if you search for our registry there. Additionall, we have registered for some items at crate & barrel and pottery barn. We hope to keep updating these, but hopefully it is a good start. Also, gift cards to any of these locations would be great, so that is a good option as well (especially given the logistics of moving everything to the east coast). The main point is that we are very happy to get to see all of you soon!
