Wedding Details:

For those of you who will be able to make it to the big event on Saturday, we just wanted to give some instructions for taking a family photo.  We would like to take a photo with the extended family following the ceremony at the church.  Most of the guests will be going to the reception at this point, but if you could just stick around for a few minutes, we would like an outdoor photo with everyone at the church. 
Hope you are all learning the new dance!!  Even if you havent been able to practice it, you can always follow Kate's lead.  We also plan on playing the black eyed peas song again at some point during the evening .  Again, if you forgot, I am sure Kate will help us remember the moves.

Dismissal

At the end of each school day I wait outside with my kids for about 40 minutes waiting for their parents to come and pick them up. We each have assigned spots where our class stands outside. Room 22's assigned spot just happens to be the location that the local ice cream truck driver has chosen to park. Every day. For the last two weeks. Thought this might make you laugh :)

 

Huge Truck Fire

Saw this beauty on my way home from work today.  At certain points, the smoke from the truck fire was so thick that it was blocking out the sun in the area.

Mother's Day

You are invited to Kim and Mike's for lunch on Sunday to celebrate Mother's Day.    Let us know how many will be coming and what you'd like to bring.  We'll plan to eat about 1:00.

Pentagon Petition

In Summary:
The Pentagon is pushing plans to court martial "religious proselytizing" soldiers, airmen, marines, and sailors for promoting their faith. The first link explains the proposed procedures. The second link connects you with the petition. It's unfortunate that I even have to share the thought of government restricting religious freedom and more so on the restriction for service members. But moaning and groaning about it gets nothing done...
