Wedding Hotel Room Update

For those of you planning on coming to D.C. for the wedding, I wanted to make sure you knew that there is very little time to book under one of our selected hotels at the discounted group rate.  If you do not want to use these accomodations, that is totally fine, but I wanted to give a reminder to book ASAP in case anyone wanted to take advantage of a discounted rate at a decent hotel near other wedding guests.

Casey's coming home!!! If you are available, come to our home Saturday afternoon/evening for a cookout to visit. We are just grilling out and will probably eat dinner about 6:00 p.m.  Casey is traveling between Ft. Benning, Georgia and Ft. Carson, Colorado this weekend.  Let us know your if you are coming, or just show up.  I'm sure he would love to see everyone.

Adam's 1st Birthday

Adam is going to be 1 year old on August 16th we will be having his party August 25th so save that date. More details will be coming soon.

The Vanderzee's (less Scott who had to work) spent a HOT week in Birchwood.  We left lots of fish for the rest of you to catch and spent most of our time enjoying the lake.  Thanks Mom and Dad Van Drunen for another week of great memories.

MELROSE PARK GRAND PRIX CONFIRMED

The date for our Three-Race Private Racing Party is Tuesday, July 10, at 8:00 p.m.  We should be there near 7:30.  There are some rules we must follow:  a valid photo ID is required (driver's license),  Grandpa will sign as a guardian for those under 18, must sign a waiver, must be 54"-74", 240 lb. weight max (this might be a problem for Conor), must wear closed-toe shoes.  The address is:  2225 W. North Ave., Melrose Park, IL 60160.  Those  carpooling should meet at our home by 6:00 (if possible).  Any more questions??? - call us 708-333-5877.

Melrose Park Indoor Grand Prix

We were waiting for Casey to come home after basic training, but he won't be home until December, so we are trying to arrange a time for the single grandsons, 16 and older, to finally receive your Christmas Present.  We contacted the Melrose Park facility and got the following information:  Times are available next week  (July 9, 10, 12, 13 ,& 14) - Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday (4-10 p.m.), Friday (5-10), and Saturday (2-10).   We should be there at 7:30 on weekdays and Saturday is negotiable.  We should know as soon as possible the days that do not  work for you, so we can make a reservation.  The address is 2225 W. North Ave., Melrose Park IL 60160.  We will provide more information when we come up with a date.  This is for:  Alex, Eric, Scott, Mark, Caleb, Craig, Conor,  & Cole.
