A Great Week In Florida!

Me, Karley, Liz, Susan, Karyn, and Melanie got to spend Spring Break this year at Aunt Karen and Uncle Nick's house in Ft. Myers. My parents were there for two of the nights, otherwise we were on our own. We had an amazing time making shirts, going out to eat, playing volleyball, going to the pool, cooking dinner, parasailing, eating ice cream, watching movies, laying out at the beach, and even going to the library (that was ALL Liz) These pictures are mainly of me because they are from my camera, but hopefully you get the overall effect). We owe it all to Karen and Nick for making it possible!!

Wozofoto: check it out!

My friend launched a website yesterday... thought some of you might be interested. He brings fine art photography at really good prices. You can have the photo of the day shipped to your house on extremely good prints... ready to be framed and put up on your wall.

The company name: wozofoto.

My (yet to be named freelance-meets professional) design firm designed it.

Check out the website today (and keep coming back!):

Mockoo Shockoo

Mockoo shockoo(whats up) from Mesopotamia,
I figured out how to make these slideshows and just recently got some internet so I decided to put this all together. Things are going well and I obviously cant share too terribly much but these are few pictures of where weve been and whats going on. The story behind Chuck the duck, who appears in some of these photos, is that he has gone everywhere and does everything we do. Its a little something to make things more exciting and fun. I recently have had a blast with the locals here and drank some of the chai tea I was offered. Its rude to turn down whatever they offer and im glad i didnt because this stuff was delicious! The kids here are wonderful as well although they want and want and want. We do out best to give them essentials and candy if possible but there are too many to please them all. Im also growing a "wicked" mustache.. not really... but its comming. Actually some of the Iraqi police were making fun of it because it was blonde and thin.. it made for good conversation though. haha.. Well i hope all is well with the family back home and Ill do my best to keep in touch.

Don't let the picture fool you

Cute right? Four-years old, what trouble could she cause. Well, let's just go with things stuck on her finger.

Last fall, wiffle softball. Had to cut that off with pruning shears, lost the wiffle ball.

Christmas ornament in December. Went to cut that off thinking it was plastic. It wasn't. Shattered and the knife plunged into my finger sending blood all over the kitchen. Justin never saw a person bleed that much or an adult yell that loud before.

Tonight, string from the blinds. As I'm reading to Anneke and Justin and Kristin is getting Toby from the neighbors Kate begins screaming. Going to see what's wrong I find her with her finger completely wrapped in the string from the blinds. The top of her finger turning purple. Unable to untie it, I'm forced to cut the string to save the finger. I think I've lost the blind in the process.

Good thing we love her so much! Our Kate.

Westchester's Pathetic Sewers

It's been raining here for two days. While I'm sure that many of you are in towns where drainage is bad, I'm going to guess that we're the unfortunate winners of the "bad storm sewer" contest.

On the glass half-full perspective... while my garage is flooded, my basement is bone dry thanks to the drain tile and pumps that we had installed about a month ago. Keep reaching for that silver lining!

Auntie Lee and Jean's Innaugural Blog Video

A while back, we got a visit from Auntie Lee and Jean. Here's the first official Yous Kids video featuring Lee and Jean.

A Night in Kouts

Last Friday night, a group of nine of us were sitting around Trinity with nothing to do (go figure), so we all decided to take a little field trip to my house and spend it in Kouts! Me and Anna and our friends Mel, Susan, Austin, Sam, Thomas, Billy, and Mark all went and had a great time up in the hay and in the cornfields. My dad even ambushed us with his chainsaw to freak us out at 1 in the morning. After a few hours, we headed back at about 3 AM, but stopped at Denny's first for some food. This way I even got to see my mom on her birthday. I'm so glad I finally got to show off Kouts :)
