Family vote
Dad (Nick) and I had a discussion the other day about Alex and the very difficult decision he has whether to stay at Pepperdine or transfer to Yale. Worth of a family vote and/or discussion to let Alex in on our brilliant ideas for his future? We thought so. So, what do you think people? I believe Nick voted for women in bikinis on the west coast vs. the snow bunnies on the east coast.

Kristin,
Good call on the vote idea. Blogs allow you to create polls... so I've thrown a poll in the right hand column.
You've got until the 27th at midnight to vote!
Conor says take the Yale route. He says when he brags to his friends about his cousin that Yale would sound pretty impressive.
What are the colors of Pepperdine? What are the colors of Yale?
That would be a big decision for me to see what color t-shirt looked good on me. Actually, I was hoping Alex would stay at Pepperdine long enough to let me visit since I will probably never make a trip to California otherwise. Whatever his decision, he's brilliant enough to make an impact at either school.
I didn't know this would become poll material, but I guess I can use all the help I can get.
Update: I've got to know by Friday, so you better vote by the 23rd if you want this to make any sort of difference.
I think Uncle Nick really puts it into persepective on the blog. Stay Pepperdine
I'm guessing this decision is stressful for you Alex. Know that the Lord is going to use you wherever you go (or stay). I just hope we can come and visit sometime @ either location.
I cannot decide what to make for dinner many nights, how can I even begin to give an opinion you on this? Thankfully it is not up to me. They are both great options and we will pray for God to give you clear direction.
Jason - we can tell you're away at seminary from your pastoral (but very nice) comment. :)
On a serious note, we would like to recommend a look at James 1:5
"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God who giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not, and it shall be given him." This is a wonderful invitation and promise. This verse has been very helpful to us in a multitude of situations over the years.
