New School, First Day

I just finished my first day of class at Yale, which went really well. Sadly, I have not yet finished my first night of studying, but I pause from the Constitution to give you a brief synopsis and photologue of the first day (sorry, no front porch lunch box picture).

In the morning I was the very first student to arrive, which was fortunate because it allowed me to snap some great pictures of the school. Today I had two classes, Administrative Law and History of the Common Law. Tomorrow I begin Constitutional Law, and later a class on the Law of War. If everything works according to plan, I'll also have a position on a journal.

They let me study here

The Hallowed Hall

The Library: we will get acquainted

My slightly less grandiose but no less comfortable home office

Thanks for the update. Your school looks quite prestigous. We keep all of our grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and kids in our prayers every day. We look forward to what God has in store for all of us. Birchwood fishing has been good. Weather great. Looking forward to family and friends joining us.

Grandpa just got our of the bathroom and commented - "With all this history we hope and trust there are many evidences of the principles on which this great university was founded." The pictures bring to memory our visit to Oxford.

Mom -
You are getting more and more like Grandma Voss all the time. Only she and you would mention that Dad just got out of the bathroom.
Alex -
I was kind of hoping for a picture of you with a fresh haircut and new clothes for the first day of school.

Anyone else having pictures in their head of Brown VanDrunen Heating uniform pants, white undershirt and Excelsior Supply truckers hat?

But enough about Grandpa leaving the washroom.

First one @ class, nice! Keep it up Alex, you are doing great!

BTW, in Law of War, can you figure out how many people will now be suing John Ashcroft personally for being illegally detained?
