College Decision

I just wanted to let my family know that I am going to Trinity this fall. I'm going potluck as far as a roommate. I guess it's official: I'm a Troll.

P.S. Assuming my roommates are good with it, I look forward to many nap opportunities on the treasured golden sofa. It will add a homely touch to my dorm.

Congrats on making the decision! It's a good feeling once you've got that settled. We're glad that you'll still be close by, but expect you to be having too much fun to come home too often. I went potluck at Calvin and North Park, and though I never would have put myself with either one of them, it turned out great and I still stay in touch with one of them.

Yeah, baby.

The family legacy at the Trin-munity continues!

Feel free to use my home as a Sunday afternoon hang-out... you can do laundry and take naps (though on a brown microfiber couch... not the ideal napping conditions of orange corduroy, but then... what is?).

I believe that Anna and Karley will occaisionally do this too- I'd like to continue the tradition set forth by all of our relatives of the Sunday/church/family/meal/laundry/nap combination that served me so well in my college days.

By the way, Grandpa and Grandma, Karen and Nick, Keith and Cher, Kim and Mike... thanks for regularly opening up your homes to me. Those were really good times.

Alex- you MUST have a transferring of the couch ceremony where the couch is formally passed onto the next generation of trolls. The family blog demands pictures of this historic occasion.

Alright Scott - now it is time for you to prove your mettle (metal?) and devise a plan to move the couch so that you can have it next year.

In the words of a famous troll - "raughckousckluoughhhaaaaa"

We are turning into the Pritzker's of Trinity, you think we can get a group rate?

Just kidding Congratulations Scott!

I know I had a lot of great times at Trinity.

Congratulations, Scott! A lot of my friends in college also went potluck for roommates, and many of them are still very close. It'll probably be great. Being that I'm a Knight, however, I have to give just a little grief. At least it's not Hope! Sorry, Jason!

We were going to delay Alex's graduation and make him take some added classes next year, but maybe we can make a deal with you to provide updates on Anna. If Karyl pitches in, we could do a two-for-one deal including Karley. Add Emily and it's the trifecta. It must be a good feeling knowing where you'll be next year. Congrats, Scott!

We are glad you are going to Trinity. We'll pray for the right roommate for you. Let us know if you need to transport the organge couch from Trinity for the summer. We use the Van Drunen Heating pick-up for this task. We take the back roads, as grandpa is nervous taking it on the expressway.
