After brokering a deal for his Pepperdine Apartment and mattress, loading all his earthly belongings into the car, and programming the Magellan GPS, Alex, and his travel chaperone Eric, began the long journey East. (Rumor has it Eric was sent along to avoid a long layover in Las Vegas.) We thought they would arrive earlier in the day but they let time slip away while playing at a water park en route. We caught up with Alex in his travels across the country at Aurelio's Pizza in Homewood, IL tonight dining with some of his favorite relatives!

We must have had the same phone problem as Kristin. Hope the rest of your journey goes well, Alex. Hope you can make more trips home now that your distance won't be quite as far.
