Van Drunen Christmas
Keith & Cheryl offered to have our Christmas get-to-gether at their home. We are accepting their offer. It is Saturday, December 26, at 4:00 p.m. We would appreciate suggestions as what to have for supper. Are you kids pulling names? (We were asked this question.) As we didn't all get together for Thanksgiving and some have been away on vacation ---it was difficult to do. Awaiting your replies.

Thanks to Keith & Cher for hosting again. What can I bring?
As for pulling names, I'm willing to go along with whatever everyone else wants to do.
on an unrelated note, I've got a new game that I believe the group will enjoy. Am I permitted to bring a new game into the group? What's the appropriate means to introduce something like this?
I have one container of BBQ pork I would be happy to bring. It would make approximately 30 buns. I would also be willing to make italian beef sandwiches if you'd like. Just a suggestion. Let me know what you would like. I do have an idea for next year's get together. I purchased 18 "fun" boxes that all the ladies (including any girls as well) could pick from and fill with their "favorite" things throughout the year. I can explain more at the party.
my mom had asked some of the girls what we wanted to do about gifts also...we were thinking that we didn't really need to do gifts, but we could do something else...like use the money to support the troops or the National Guard...or brain cancer research or something...but we didn't come up with anything specific...anyone have any ideas? :)
The hot sandwiches sound good to me - BBQ pork is always yummy, & italian beef too. Will this work for the little kids?
I'll make Taffy Apple Salad & a dessert.
Mom just got here & we were discussing the menu & great dishes you make. Does this work?...
Kim - strawberry pretzel & Death by chocolate.
Kelly - layered lettuce & scotcheroos (Dan says your's are the best).
Kathy - a dessert & something that travels well.
Mom will get the buns & fudge.
Jason - jello & 4 pop.
Kyle - vegetables & dip, 4 pop.
Rudi - crackers & cheese, 4 soda (& looking forward to your game).
Cher - thanks, you are hosting!
Or, Mom is open to any suggestion of something different you would like to bring.
I talked to Karen this morning and asked if donating to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Research would be O.K. instead of pulling names. She said that would be great. We would like others' opinions.
Becky/Grandma: I think that is a really good idea!
Can't wait to see all of you then :)
Grandma, I like that idea too!
We love the idea of donating to Brain Cancer research. Thanks. I'll be happy to bring what you suggested. Do you think we will ever get tired of scotcheroos?
Never!
